This coverage is administrated by a division of the US DOT called 'Released Rates Orders of the Surface Transportation Board'.
There are usually four levels of coverage that are offered:
- Released value
- Declared value
- Lump sum value
- Full value protection
This coverage applies when your valuables are lost/damaged in shipment.
